Sweetwater Tea (kk)

In celebration of the vernal equinox this year we are offering a sale on all of our teas for the month of September. For every 8oz or 16oz bag of tea you purchase (September 1-30) we will throw in a 4oz bag (tea of your choice) for free.  We hope this will be a great way for you to try new varieties while enjoying old favorites.

Our Sweetwater tea is made of organic fennel and fenugreek which are believed to increase and sweeten a woman's milk. The tea has a sweet maple syrup flavor and causes milk to have a similar scent (and I assume a similar flavor, although my nursling never mentioned it). The tea can be enjoyed hot or iced. I prefer it hot with splash of almond milk and a bit of ground cinnamon drifting on the top. This makes it seem like an indulgent dessert, which all nursing mothers deserve!  You can get yours here.

We use plain plastic bags to package our teas. This saves on shipping for you. All of our teas are made to order so if you would like to add or omit something just let us know.

The recipe is from the folks at Sacred Pregnancy.

The tea has a delightful minty taste and the rose, mints and chamomile work together to take the edge off my worst headaches. The tea can be enjoyed hot or iced. I like to mix it with a bit of cranberry juice or lemonade and enjoy it over ice.

Detox Tea (kk)

In celebration of the vernal equinox this year we are offering a sale on all of our teas for the month of September. For every 8oz or 16oz bag of tea you purchase (September 1-30) we will throw in a 4oz bag (tea of your choice) for free.  We hope this will be a great way for you to try new varieties while enjoying old favorites.

Our Detox tea is made of organic and wild crafted herbs that are believed to help detoxify the gut. My toddler helped me harvest the red clover, which I believe infuses the tea with a delightful playfulness. I harvest the burdock root, dandelion root and yellow dock root from the same field. They all give the tea a bitter underlying taste. Bitter herbs are believed to help detoxify the liver. The licorice, sarsaparilla and fenugreek counter the bitterness by adding a hint of light sweetness. All these herbs combine to make a lovely earthy aroma and a dark brown tea. I drink this tea during my seasonal detoxification and any time that I feel I may have over indulged and it makes me feel light and clean. The tea can be taken hot or iced. I have a friend that likes to mix this tea with lemonade and enjoy over lots of ice.

Weaning Tea (kk)

In celebration of the vernal equinox this year we are offering a sale on all of our teas for the month of September. For every 8oz or 16oz bag of tea you purchase (September 1-30) we will throw in a 4oz bag (tea of your choice) for free.  We hope this will be a great way for you to try new varieties while enjoying old favorites.

Our Weaning tea is made of organic herbs that are believed to help decrease milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Weaning can be a tough time for mothers and we certainly do not need engorgement to add to the emotional discomfort we may already be feeling. The summer before I weaned my daughter I had a huge patch of volunteer sage in the herb garden. Everything happens for a reason as sage is the main component in this tea. When my daughter decided it was time to wean I drank this tea by the gallon to reduce my supply. It was a sad time for me, but this tea really helped. The tea can be taken hot or iced. I felt the need to drink this in rather large quantities so I often mixed it with lemonade or cranberry juice to add variety.   You can get yours here

Our Four Flower tea makes a lovely indulgence on a crisp fall morning or even a soggy spring one. The floral scent will lift your mood and take you miles away to the forest edges where I collected the wild rose petals and hips. I love to sip this tea during the small quiet hours of the morning before my family wakes up. It helps me start my day and I hope it will do the same for you. The tea can be enjoyed hot or iced, but I prefer it hot and with a good book or craft project.

Happy Mama Tea (kk)

In celebration of the vernal equinox this year we are offering a sale on all of our teas for the month of September. For every 8oz or 16oz bag of tea you purchase (September 1-30) we will throw in a 4oz bag (tea of your choice) for free.  We hope this will be a great way for you to try new varieties while enjoying old favorites.
Our Happy Mama tea brews into a rich dark green and has a lovely earthy scent. The herbs are organic or wild crafted and intended to nourish new mothers during the first weeks and months postpartum.  The raspberry leaf is believed to be an excellent uterine toner while the alfalfa and nettle are full of minerals vital to baby making.  I love to collect herbs during my travels and have used my supply of alfalfa, lady’s mantle, motherwort, nettle and red raspberry leaf in making this tea.   The nettle and motherwort were found amongst our raspberry patch at the nursery.  While I was surprised to find lady’s mantle growing next to the barn at the horse farm where I harvest the alfalfa.  It certainly seemed like these herbs would be as happy together in a tea as they were in growing.  The tea can be enjoyed hot or iced.   I know one mama that likes to mix it with lemonade and sip it all day long.
